Zara Puckrin
Zara Puckrin is a molecular biologist and life science communicator with experience spanning academic research, commercial life science services, and scientific content creation. She studied Cell and Molecular Biology at Glasgow Caledonian University, where her undergraduate research focused on acute myeloid leukemia and the development of an in vitro 3D co-culture model to study leukemia–bone marrow microenvironment interactions. She also holds an HND in Radiotherapy and Oncology, giving her an early grounding in cancer biology and clinical science. Zara began her life science career at REPROCELL while still an undergraduate, gaining exposure to R&D, quality assurance, operations, and commercial bioscience services before contributing to the establishment of an iPSC immunocytochemistry service and producing a validated protocol. Her published and contributed work includes topics such as smarter biospecimens for biomarker R&D, iPSC-derived therapeutics, human fresh tissues, CRISPR modification analysis, and translational research tools.
