Marisa is currently a research scientist at an alternative meat start-up, working to develop sustainable protein from fungi. She received her B.S. in Molecular Environmental Biology from UC Berkeley. She is particularly passionate about leveraging molecular tools and approaches to tackle environmental problems. When she’s not in the lab, you’ll find her hiking, playing violin, or climbing!
