I hold a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Biology, both from Texas Woman’s University. During my studies, I conducted molecular biology research investigating the role of Heat Shock Factor 1 in the polymerase switch in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. I have over five years of professional experience preparing and managing microbiology teaching laboratories at Texas Woman’s University and Tarrant County College, and working in environmental health and safety at the University of Texas at Arlington, with a strong focus on BSL-2 safety practices. I have also contributed to research projects involving microbial activity in materials science. My areas of expertise include molecular biology, microbiology, microbial techniques, and biosafety. I am passionate about bridging complex scientific topics with clear, accessible communication and supporting interdisciplinary collaboration.
