Geil Merana

Geil has just completed her PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of California. During her PhD, her research focused on colitis and neutrophilic dermatoses, but she also has previous experience in studying asthma and allergy during her undergraduate and early graduate training and has conducted research on a range of immune cells, such as CD4+ T cells, dendritic cells, monocytes, neutrophils, macrophages, and mast cells. Geil’s long-term goal is to obtain a scientist role to lead meaningful projects in the biotech industry.
