Emily is a postdoctoral fellow working at the University of Ottawa/Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, specialising in rare childhood neuromuscular diseases. She works with zebrafish and stem cell models of disease, and also enjoys science writing/editing in her spare time. She obtained a PhD in genetics at the University of Newcastle (UK), and an MSci in Neuroscience at Glasgow University.
