Dr. Jeremy Chacon
In this webinar you will learn
- how to import data from Microsoft Excel into R
- how to use R to perform statistical analyses
- how get a beautifully formatted figure from your data
This webinar will take the case study approach to introduce R to biologists with little or no previous knowledge of the program. To follow along, I recommend you install R (http://www.r-project.org) and R-Studio (http://www.rstudio.com/products/rstudio/download/), and if possible, the ggplot2 (http://ggplot2.org) package.
I will show you how I would take a dataset from excel and import it into R, explore the dataset a couple of ways, do a statistical test (a regression), and finally make a figure with near-publication formatting to go along with the regression.
